Lighting Services, Inc has been shedding light on the US north-east coast for over 80 years. Our founder, Francis Clark, was a forward-thinker and a fellow of the Illumination Engineering Society (IES). The Society still uses criteria based on the thoughts and ideas of Clark and his fellows.
As with other technology, the science of lighting has grown tremendously in the last 80 years. As late as the 1930s, businesses still kept their lights low to help manage utility costs. The 40s ushered in the theory that workers were more productive under better lighting.
Light sources have included bulbs engineered by Matthew Luckiesh, the "Father of the Science of Seeing," some of which created ambiance and some, like the MAZDA daylight lamp provided light more like daylight colors. From there light technology expanded into fluorescent bulbs and today, many companies are implementing LED Lighting Upgrades for even more energy and cost efficiency.
Through it all, Lighting Services, Inc., a family owned company, has stayed on top of the trends and science, providing customers with the most appropriate lighting solutions available. Our third generation is now running the light show, offering lighting and electrical services to all kinds of commercial applications. Like Francis Clark, we strive to "...provide excellent service at a reasonable cost."
Services provided by Lighting Services, Inc. include LED lighting upgrades, emergency light systems installation, lighting maintenance, and fire extinguisher servicing. All of our work is performed by our own trained staff; we do not source out jobs to other contractors.
