Tips to Help Your Business' Lighting Maintenance

For a business to succeed, it needs customers. An awry light bulb might be all it takes to discourage interested clients. To them, a burnt-out light bulb may inflict negative impressions onto your business. They may conclude that this building isn't well maintained or that this business isn't very attentive and diligent. To avoid these thoughts from your customers, you need to make sure your lighting is well maintained. Here are a few tips to assist your business' lighting:Tips-for-Cross-Selling-Up-Selling.jpg

1. Routine checks: Sometimes routine checks are overlooked but there is nothing more important than spending a little time checking your electrical appliances. Establish a consistent program to inspect and replace your lighting.

2. Number the Lights: Assign each light a specific number and record the bulb and its number somewhere easily accessible. Light problems often go unreported or unresolved and numbering your lights makes issues easy and efficient to detect, report and get rid of.

3. Considering Changing it Up: Replacing incandescent light bulbs with LED or fluorescent light bulbs might be worth the investment. When compared, energy-saving light bulbs can reduce energy usage by up to 80%, last up to 25 times longer, and can save you up to $3.80 per light bulb each year. For a company with hundreds of light bulbs, that $3.80 really adds up.

4. Check Your Fixtures: Over a period of time, your light fixtures can accumulate dirt and dust which in turn can decrease the light's efficiency dramatically. By routinely checking and cleaning your fixtures, you can better ensure that your lights are working at their full potential.
