Running a business is expensive. Buying stock and paying employees combined with heating, cooling, and maintenance can really eat into your profit margin. Expensive electric bills due to inefficient lighting is the last thing you want to worry about. Many people do not understand the immense saving an LED retrofit can give their business. Incandescent lighting can cost a fortune when it comes time to pay your monthly utilities. Let’s look at some of the amazing facts about LED lighting that may not know. Here are some highlights from the LED section of the Energy.gov website.

You are undoubtedly aware that LED lights use less energy, but were you aware how much less? It may sound too good to be true, but LED lighting uses on average 75% less energy than traditional lighting! That is the type of savings that will put money in your pocket as of your first utility bill after a retrofit. Additionally, you will not have to replace your bulbs as often either. This amazing lighting resource lasts up to 25 times longer than regular bulbs. Put these two facts together and you can see why a switch to LED is the right choice for your bottom line.

You may be asking how these bulbs can offer such a drastic difference in energy consumption and longevity. The source that produces this amazing light is no larger than a fleck of pepper. They also emit light in a specific direction. This reduces the need for light trapping reflectors and diffusers. Both of which can trap over half of the light emitted in traditional lighting. LEDs release a very nominal amount of heat, whereas incandescent and CFL bulbs release 80-90% of their energy in the form of heat. So, by using a smaller light source, directing it properly, and releasing the energy as light rather than heat, they last longer and cost less.

At Lighting Services Inc, we will not only retrofit your business to LED and other energy-saving light sources, we will guide you through the utility rebate process in your area. We make sure you get the most energy-efficient and budget friendly lighting for your needs. We have successfully completed thousands of retrofit projects, and have decades of experience. Many companies install your lighting then disappear. Not us. Once your lighting is installed, our company will stay with you.  We have service agreements that provide any maintenance you may need throughout the life of your new installation.  Contact us today and find out why our family business has been a beacon of light for 11 north-eastern states for over 80 years!
